Description
The Canon 7S is the last series of interchangeable-lens, Leica-compatible rangefinders made by Canon in the 1960s.This one dates from between 1965-67 and has on it the fastest rangefinder lens ever made! The Canon 50mm F0.95 lens! Serial #28614. Comes complete with its original front lens cap, Vivitar skylight filter and is mounted on this Canon 7S rangefinder camera body, serial# 120688.Both lens and body are cosmetically clean; no dings, dents or major marks. The Lens is optically clean and clear; no fog, fungus, separation or scratches. Both are mechanically excellent; focusing is smooth and aperture clicks are crisp, shutter fires smoothly and the Light meter appears to work fine. The body has as its original leather cannon case but the case is torn along the bottom seam and separated however it is still usable. This was a cherished and pampered camera from a California photographers estate. This is a great collector’s camera and a fantastic lens to shoot with! On Aug-18-08 at 10:56:47 PDT, seller added the following information: Passably a 7SZ! I can't tell!
