' Description This is yet a great and rare Leica collectable camera-kit I'm offering you !! This has got to be one of the prettiest cameras ever made.   In 1996,700 were made to commemorate the 50th, Golden Jubilee Celebration, of the reign of His Majesty King Bhumiphol Adulyadej of Thailand.  The body and special 50/2 Summicron are 24-carat gold plated.  They were offered for sale for $10,000 each by the Chulalongkorn University Development Foundation, the funds to be used for environmental projects in Thailand.   Serial numbers 2176001 to   2176700.  As can be seen in the pictures which I've attached, the camera, wooden presentation case, and the box, are all quite beautifully done. Camera comes brand new in the box and does not show any wear (nor does the lens);completely mint !!
